For nearly two decades, Icham has worked closely with GE Healthcare’s MR and CT customers as an applications consultant, giving him a deep understanding of customers’ needs. A technologist by training, that knowledge includes hands-on experience supporting the global business. In fact, two months after joining the GE MR team, Icham was in front of a large group of customers demonstrating clinical cases to RSNA attendees.
One clinical area that is near and dear to Icham is cardiac MR. He recalls one case of a two-month old patient with a complex great vessel malformation and several shunts at a leading pediatric hospital in Sweden.
"The cardiologist could easily diagnose and define the therapeutic surgical plan," Icham recalls. "I was so happy to see how positively our MR solutions could impact this patient’s healthcare."
In fact, it’s the continued evolution in MR imaging that makes him proud to have chosen this field and join GE’s European clinical leaders. Although MR is considered one of the more complex imaging modalities, Icham envisions that technological innovations helping to consistently increase image quality and reduce scan times will continue to simplify MR imaging and propel its use worldwide.
