At ISMRM 2022, GE Healthcare will introduce AIR™ Recon DL for 3D and motion-insensitive PROPELLER. AIR™ Recon DL for 3D and PROPELLER is designed to provide even better image quality without sacrificing scan time.

AIR™ Recon DL was previously launched with Cartesian 2D applications, including diffusion-weighted echo planar imaging. However, motion artifacts and EPI-related distortions persist with AIR™ Recon DL. In fact, motion artifacts were made more conspicuous due to denoising.

Now, with AIR™ Recon DL applied to 3D sequences and PROPELLER, these clinical needs will be met. AIR™ Recon DL is designed to improve the image quality of PROPELLER and DW PROPELLER with increased SNR and sharpness, shorter scan time and improved DWI. Early adopter clinical sites with access to a research prototype version of AIR™ Recon DL PROPELLER, used within institution review board guidelines, have confirmed these benefits.

This latest development represents GE’s continued emphasis to expand proven technologies to clinical areas where the need is evident.
